Below are the documents that can be submitted for verification of marital status from Pakistan.

Ø  UNMARRIED CERTIFICATE: An unmarried certificate in Pakistan is issued by the government as proof that you are single and you have never registered your marriage in Pakistan. The government issues this certificate after the complete digital and manual verification of a person.

Ø MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE: If you are married, then you have to submit your marriage certificate and your nikahnama from Pakistan. This marriage certificate is issued to a person in Pakistan only when they meet all the legal requirements and the laws of the country. Generally, this certificate is required when you are applying for a spouse visa or a dependent visa in a country.

Ø DIVORCE CERTIFICATE: If you are divorced, then you have to submit your divorce certificate from Pakistan. The divorce certificate in Pakistan is a digital document that is issued by the government only when the divorce process in Pakistan is finalized, and no such proceedings are pending.

Ø IN CASE OF KHULA: In case a female has obtained the decree of khula in Pakistan, then she has to submit her khula decree and the divorce certificate as proof that she is divorced. A female is not considered divorced after the khula decree until she obtains the divorce certificate.

Ø  FRC: FRC is the family registration certificate, which can be obtained from the NADRA office. The FRC shows the members of your family in the certificate. As proof, you can also submit your FRC for the purpose of a visa if it is required by the other country.

Attestation of Documents:

All the above documents for the marital status verification in Pakistan for visa needs to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan; only then will the documents be accepted by the other country. The other country may also ask you to have these documents attested by their own embassy or consulate. Nowadays, the country also accepts the services of Apostille in Pakistan.
